Join Black Alphabet for a special screening of Mr. Loverman, the powerful BBC series adapted from the award-winning novel by Bernardine Evaristo. The story follows Barrington Jedidiah Walker, a 74-year-old Caribbean British man finally ready to come out as gay after a lifetime of secrecy, navigating love, legacy, and liberation.
This moving adaptation shines a light on the lives of Black LGBTQ+ elders and the courage it takes to live authentically. Following the screening, join us for a community conversation exploring the show's themes and celebrating the power of Black queer storytelling.
